  5. This notice applies to all clients who have any products supplied, installed or maintained by Nova Alarms.
  6. Nova Alarms may change this policy from time to time. An updated copy will always be available on our website or on request from our office.

What information do we collect?

  1. To effectively monitor our activities and provide appropriate safeguards to our clients we need to enter and hold your personal details on our secure computer servers. The information we collect and hold includes
    • Name and possibly job title
    • Contact information including postal address, telephone number and email
  2. We will also collect and pass your personal details to our Bank, (for customers paying by direct debit), our Inspectorate Body, (The National Security Inspectorate) as part of the process by which your security system is certified by us, Police Scotland and (where necessary) our Central Monitoring Station.

What we do with the information we gather?

  1. We require this data to provide you with a better service and, in particular for the following reasons:
    • Internal record keeping
    • Comply with our statutory and regulatory obligations
    • Deal with any enquires and complaints made by you relating to our installation
    • To improve our products and services
    • We will never use our customers details for direct marketing purposes or to solicit sales
  2. If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.

Controlling your personal data

The information will be provided within one month of receipt of the request.
