Intruder Alarms

Nova Alarms offer a wide range of electronic security systems including burglar alarms for the commercial and domestic markets, based in Dundee we cover a large area including Tayside, Fife, Angus and Perth.

As members of the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) and the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), our intruder alarms are installed to comply with the highest standards and an NSI certificate of compliance is issued on completion of installation for each intruder alarm system.

Our designers have the experience to put together a package to suit individual requirements wether it be a monitored or audible only alarms system. All burglar alarm systems are graded to meet the requirements of all insurance companies and the Association of Chief Police Officers Scotland (ACPOS).

Protecting Your Home

According to a market research survey carried out by the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) alarm systems play a huge role in deterring break-ins. It is indeed rare for a house with an alarm system installed to fall victim to a burglary.

Most insurance companies are now offering reduced insurance premiums to customers who have approved alarm systems installed in their homes. Once you have decided you wish to have and alarm system installed, simply contact us and we will arrange to have one of our designers to call at your home at a suitable time.

After carrying out a risk assessment he will then design a system to suit your particular requirements. A full quotation package will then be prepared and sent to you within 24 hours. Should you then wish to proceed with our proposals the work will be carried out by one of our teams of fully qualified installers.

Protecting Your Business

Nova Alarms offers a wide range of products to ensure that your business has the level of protection to meet the requirements of all insurance companies. Before a quotation and design specification is prepared a risk assessment is carried out by one of our designers to ensure the grade of the alarm system satisfies your insurance company.

As NSI (National Security Inspectorate) installers a certificate of compliance to all relevant standards is issued on completion of each installation. We also adhere to the Association of Chief Police Officers Scotland (ACPOS)policy which requires a commitment to the reduction of false alarms. This commitment has ensured that we are on the list of Police approved installers.

Our own fully qualified technicians install our alarm systems and after your systems has been installed we have a full service package in place to ensure your system is maintained to the highest level.

Make The Grade With Scantronic

Nova Alarms specialise in installing Scantronic Control Equipment. Each control unit is graded to meet insurance requirements. A remote keypad is used to set/unset the alarm system and this can be done by means of a code or a keyfob (optional). These keypads display instructions using a full English text LCD display. Each user has an individual code (or fob).

Unique code (or fob) and the keypad records the person who sets or unsets the system as well as the time and date. The keypad has a 700 event log which means a record of activity is stored for up to one year.

The control panel also has a built in modem which means remote diagnostic and servicing checks can be made by our technicians if and when required.
